Hip — so hip — hooray: Soho House turns 30

To celebrate three decades of stylish stays, here are 30 reasons to book a break with the in-the-know group in 2025

Trendsetting hotel group Soho House turns 30 this year — that’s three decades of surreptitiously eyeing up celebs in the club lounge, sipping picantes on stripy sunloungers and coveting many, many soft furnishings. Whether set in a restored heritage building or defunct factory, in New York’s Meatpacking District, bucolic Somerset or Caribbean Canouan, they place you at the centre of the action.

So to celebrate this momentous occasion, here are 30 great excuses for a Soho House break: 2025’s must-travel-to events around the world and, of course, the group’s superlative stays to book now — plus some exciting hideaways coming soon.

Be first in the door at Soho Farmhouse Ibiza

Spain’s White Isle is bumping up its healing powers with the holistic wellness offerings at Soho Farmhouse Ibiza, where Margot Robbie recently launched her gin brand, Papa Salt, with guest bookings now open, too. Amid a working olive grove, guests will loosen up on the yoga deck; alternate between the sauna, steam room and ice baths; and dine healthily on food picked from the organic kitchen garden. We’re limbering up already.

Supersize your ‘little treats’ at revamped Soho House New York

It’s all happening in Soho House New York this year: house interiors are being refreshed with warming leather and wood; the pool table returns to the club lounge; and — most excitingly — there’s a new candy station to raid. Dining is getting more decadent, too, with tableside truffle-shaving, caviar and lobster added to the menu, and a new Martini trolley. But you can also cancel these indulgences out with new Pilates and vinyasa-flow classes and a range of protein shakes.

Try cult kababs at DUMBO House

While you’re in New York, if you’re a card-carrying Soho House member, carve out time to jump on the F Train to Brooklyn’s DUMBO House. Raved-about London transplant, Iranian restaurant Berenjak, has taken residency here for two years, wafting members up to the sixth floor for smoky-sweet, lamb- and chicken-stuffed kababs, complex stews and all the dips.

Revive in rusticity at Soho Farmhouse

Another countryside jaunt for the group, Soho Farmhouse wraps you in a fluffy robe, hands you a mug of green tea and makes you feel all warm inside, thanks to hot tubs sunk into a serene lake, and a full-on health club, with treatments and classes that will loosen you up or even change your life. In 2025, the arrival of two Pilates studios, a second pool and padel courts makes the wellness offering even more holistic.

Give your compliments to the chef at Soho House Chicago

Earlier this year chef Steven Sandoval brought his itinerant pandemic pop-up, Entre Sueños, to Soho House for a run of intimate dinners to tease what Chicagoans have been waiting for: a bricks-and-mortar restaurant, set to open in West Loop in late July. Secure your room to try what those select few did: believe-the-hype Latin flavours and whole animals cooked over fire.

Ride the sugar rush at Soho Warehouse LA

Graffiti-splattered Soho Warehouse sits just a few blocks from Smorgasborg LA — right where you want to be for the run of gelatos, helados, sundaes, sorbets and more in ‘ice-cream alley’ each Sunday till October; plus a summer fest of cook-offs, cheeseburger tournaments and DJs till late on 24 August. Dig deeper still into DTLA’s thriving food scene at Dine LA (25 July–8 August), with special menus at dozens of Downtown eateries.

Nama-stay at Soho House Nashville

You might come to Nashville for its rowdy blend of boot-scootin’ country music, bluegrass jamming, jazz noodling and other sonic distractions — but from 22–24 August at Soho House the noise is tuned out for a restorative three-day wellness retreat. There’ll be breathwork, biohacking, IV drips and detox workshops, rounded out with the mind-opening (tarot, aura photography) and brain-boosting (creative writing and crafting sessions).

Feel the beat at Soho Roc House

There’s still time to make the most of Mykonos’s dance-till-dawn season — legendary South African DJ Black Coffee is spinning Afropolitan House at SantAnna till 18 August; Swiss electronica duo Adriatique are resident at Alemegou till the 11th; and Steve Aoki, Benny Benassi and other megastars hold court at Cavo Paradiso throughout the month. The set list is guaranteed to go on and on with Soho Roc House’s music and club nights, too.

Fiesta and feast at Soho House Canouan

Emancipation Day jubilantly kicks August off throughout Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, with parades, stilt-walkers, music and dance. An auspicious time to stay at Soho House Canouan, because the Seafood Festival in neighbouring Bequia (accessible by express ferry) starts on the same day, while the on-site restaurant brings conch fritters, blackened barracuda tacos and clay-oven-grilled catches to the table.

Drop anchor at Soho House Amsterdam

Amsterdam is also celebrating a landmark birthday this year: the big seven-five-oh. We plan to get three sheets to the wind while raising a jenever or two at August’s Sail 2025, a party by land and on water as 800-plus tall ships float up the IJ River. If you’re a little wobbly as you disembark, Soho House — set in the Art Deco Bungehuis — will revive you with Cowshed spa spoiling and outrageously comfortable beds.

Swim up at the new Barcelona Pool House

A complement to Soho House Barcelona, opening in late 2025, the Pool House is set in an early-19th-century home at the foot of Mount Tibidabo, on a historic, mansion-lined avinguda. Less a city-exploring base, more an escape-the-crowds retreat focusing on wellness, the 18-metre pool is the social locus; and design cues taken from Catalan Modernism make the setting one to linger in, with intricate tiling, warm hues and even chandeliers in the gym.

Get in the fast lane at Soho House São Paulo

Set in the lively Cidade Matarazzo complex, the first Soho House in South America always has a lot going on. This year its calendar is filling up with the city’s art Biennial, themed around human connection, from September, and the F1 Brazilian Grand Prix roaring into town in November. If you need a pit-stop MOT yourself, the house’s new wellness suite opens later this year.

Cultivate heirs and graces at High Road House

High Road House’s upmarket West London enclave is ideal for a genteel break, especially so come September, when Kew Gardens hosts the visionary florists behind Fleurs de Villes for a Downton Abbey-themed show, where the drama’s lavish costumery is recreated in petals and plants.

Surrender to sound and vision(s) at Redchurch Townhouse

Redchurch Townhouse is the quieter, more intimate of the two houses in Shoreditch, but cutting-edge cool rages on around it. Check in this September for a cacophony of riot grrl rock, queer punk and NB indie at Rich Mix’s Loud Women Fest; shortly followed by the Shoreditch Design Triangle, which taps into the ‘hood’s creative thrum through talks, tours and exhibitions.

Applaud diverse voices at White City House

In keeping with its former BBC HQ building, White City House offers top-form programming in its bustling surroundings. Bush Theatre is a platform for BIPOC voices; September’s Alt B: Twisted Roots Festival views heritage art forms through a contemporary British lens; while Shepherd’s Bush Market’s autumn art series is a delicious visual melting pot.

Get lit at Babington House

Pack your party bonnet and Regency finest for a stay at Babington House, because in 2025 nearby Bath’s most famous former resident, Jane Austen, is lavishly fêted for her 250th birthday. Across two festivals in September you can live it up like it’s the 1700s, practicing archery and fencing, attending poetry readings, breaking out your finest cotillon at various balls and finessing your fan-fluttering. Babington’s historic seat feels fitting for the occasion.

See what’s brewing at Soho House Istanbul

True, Turkey’s quite far to go for a caffeine-fix; however, with its reputation for stirringly strong brews, we’re all perked up for Istanbul’s Coffee Festival (11–14 September). Expect good vibrations after many tastings, brewing and roasting masterclasses, and baristas battling it out over who’s perfected their pour. All the better for staying up till late in Soho House Istanbul’s swish bar or velvet-lined cinema.

Follow the fashion pack to Kettner’s Townhouse

Kettner’s — a decadent, velvet- and marble-clad stay in dead-centre London — is the perfect fit for a stay during London Fashion Week’s spring/summer 2026 shows (18–22 September). From here, you can easily take the Tube to runways, galas and collection activations across the city; pick up pieces from neighbourhood boutiques (Ganni, Wolf & Badger, A.P.C…); and undoubtedly find plenty of afterparties in Soho’s still-naughty corners.

Admire landmark art at Soho House Paris

Paris’s maison is set in poet-artist Jean Cocteau’s former home, so go heavy on highbrow pursuits. In September, JR will honour the 40th anniversary of Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s The Pont Neuf Wrapped installation, covering the landmark in his distinctive photography; and the Cartier Foundation will reopen at a new Palais-Royal address in October. This hotel has a cabaret room, too — all the better for sporting The Moulin Rouge’s recent collab with jewellers Céleste Mogador.

Nurture your inner aesthete at Shoreditch House

The Soho Home team have been hard at work on Shoreditch House’s fifth floor this year, sprucing up the decor, adding modern touches to its signature styling and creating more space for work and pleasure. Those with an eye for the finer things should arrive to admire from 13–21 September, so they can also appreciate the striking visuals of London Design Week, during which the inaugural Design London will hold events across the neighbourhood.

Go straight to the art of Soho House Berlin

In April, Soho House Berlin celebrated its 15th birthday with a lavish do sponsored by Porsche. Its gift to itself? 35 new artworks, including a mixed-media piece by Olafur Eliasson, photomontage by Elmgreen & Dragset and a painting by Latin American artist Sol Calero. Check-in, cast an appreciative eye, then scope out the scores of talent at the 13th Berlin Biennale (closing 14 September).

Take a cultural deep dive at Soho House Mumbai

The group’s first Indian house gets you fully up to speed on the city’s art scene, with a dynamic collection of modern talents. Juice up on its cultural vibrancy then head out to rave to afrobeats and acid techno at DGTL Mumbai in October, see Art Mumbai’s radiant colour and ponder over the serious celluloid at the MAMI Film Festival (both in November).

Eat, sleep, repeat at Soho Beach House, Miami

Ease up on Soho Beach House’s signature fried chicken and dirty burgers as Miami gears up for all-you-can-eat season. Miami Spice brings two months of pop-up prix fixes at 250-plus restaurants. Then, in October, James Beard’s Taste America market celebrates diverse cuisines, before the South Beach Seafood Festival washes in with seasonal stone crabs. If you still have (a) room in December, there’s a feast of in-house events tied in with Art Basel.

Get that Espresso buzz at Soho House Austin

Those lucky enough to stay at Soho House Austin over SXSW earlier this year were treated to days of revelry: secret gigs, DJ sets aplenty, club nights, complimentary tattoos, bespoke cocktails… So secure your spot for October’s Austin City Limits Festival and go wild with the city’s most creative (and maybe even headliners Sabrina Carpenter or The Strokes) in the dedicated Music Room, lounge and cinema.

Find a new ‘Om’ in Little Beach House Barcelona

Set a 30-minute drive from the Catalan capital, beachy Garraf is where Barcelonans come to get away from it all. Alongside days spent snoozing on the sand, you can meditate under the stupas of Buddhist Garraf Monastery, trek through pine forest and taste wines in a cavern (relaxing to some). Or unwind in-house with two October wellness retreats, with creative classes and plenty of chill.

Bite into the best of the US at Dean Street Townhouse

There are exciting rumblings in London this year, most coming from our stomachs as iconic US eateries fly in. Dean Street Townhouse — whose pedigree as a former abode of a king’s mistress, louche 1920s celeb hangout and goth nightclub makes it the ultimate Soho stopover — puts you in orbit of the city’s first Carbone (book yesterday), Cali cult fave Dave’s Hot Chicken and Dallas’s Velvet Taco (known for unique fillings like shepherd’s pie).

See Soho House’s next episode in Manchester

The former Granada Studios was once home to the world’s longest-running soap opera, Coronation Street, but as soon-to-launch Soho House Manchester, the drama’s been funnelled into the decor. It’s looking much more glamorous today in readiness for the October launch — with two bars, a live-music venue, DJ booth and pool, it’s primed for partying. But it’s also opening just in time to feel festive at November’s markets, ice-rinks and other jollities.

Be seduced by Soho House Holloway’s Mex appeal

West Hollywood stay, Soho House Holloway recently underwent a glamorous makeover: its roof gardens got greener, its club floor smartened up and an exciting new MexiCali menu was introduced for alfresco dining. Expect shrimp aguachile, carnitas tacos and steak asada — and book your stay for 1 November to further celebrate this meeting of cultures at Hollywood Forever Cemetery’s Dia de Los Muertos fiesta, where hundreds of ofrendas (altars) are decorated and lit.

Say halo to Soho House Rome

It’s been a big 2025 for the religious in Rome, with ‘conclave fever’, a shiny new pope and the year-long Jubilee — during which, if you walk through the Holy Doors of four papal basilicas, you’ll be absolved of your sins. We can’t promise the same of Soho House Rome, but walking in will make you look cooler. Take in the fervour and admire the city’s concurrent spring clean from the roof terrace.

Familia-rise yourself with Soho House Barcelona

The Sagrada Familia won’t finally be complete until 2026, 100 years after Antoni Gaudí died admiring his masterwork, but its magnificent 172-metre Tower of Jesus is on track to be finished this year. Architectural appreciation comes easy at Soho House Barcelona, itself set in an 18th-century building, close to wonders such as Palau Martorell and Casa Batlló.
