More details
Served in Prenn° restaurant, the breakfast buffet showcases organic local and regional products, including eggs from Forerhof Farm, Moarhof grey cheese, and the hotel’s signature muesli mixes. Minimum three-night stays apply over selected dates.
Also
Some of the Apartsuites, as well as the spa and restaurant, are wheelchair-accessible, and there’s an elevator connecting the upper and lower levels. Getting to all areas of the garden may, however, prove challenging.
Please note
The hotel's national identification code (CIN) is IT021017B4CPKU6WK9
Hotel closed
In some low-season months, the hotel is closed from Sunday to Wednesday, and also from 24 March until 10 April 2025.
At the hotel
Free WiFi. In rooms: smart TV, integrated Bang & Olufsen Bluetooth sound system, minibar, free bottled water from the well, beach bag with sauna towels, and Team Dr Joseph bath products. Many suites also have Finnish saunas and freestanding bath tubs.
Our favourite rooms
At Olm Nature Escape, every room comes fully loaded with widescreen mountain panoramas. But if you want to enjoy the Alpine eye candy from your bath or sauna (as well as your balcony), it’s the Medium and Large categories of Apartsuite you need. Fill up the tub, pour yourself a glass of bubbles, stream some tunes to the Bang & Olufsen sound system, and you’re all set.
Poolside
The 25-metre indoor/outdoor pool is solar-heated to 32°C year-round and comprises a covered area by the sauna, and a garden section that’s surrounded by the natural bathing pond. Both are open 7am–9pm.
Spa
It’s all about the views at Olm Eco Spa, where the massage studio and saunas (steam, Finnish and bio) all overlook the lake and gardens.
Packing tips
Olm is the kind of place that lends itself well to offline pursuits — it’s why each room comes with a switch for toggling the WiFi on and off. Embrace the analogue by packing a couple of paperbacks and travel games. After all, there’s surely never been a better time to get round to that copy of The Divine Comedy that’s been gathering dust on your bookshelf for the past 20 years.
Also
Resist the urge to jog circuits of the 350-metre glass corridor that runs all the way around the hotel and head instead for the gym where the Alpine views, though static, are no less inspiring.
Pet‐friendly
Dogs are welcome at Olm for a nightly fee of €25 and should be kept on a leash at all times, though not even very good pups are allowed into the restaurant, spa or garden. See more pet-friendly hotels in South Tyrol.
Children
An extra bed can be accommodated in most suites, and the XL category with connecting rooms is suitable for larger families.
Sustainability efforts
Olm Nature Escape is almost self-sufficient: solar panels take care of energy requirements, there’s a geothermal heating system, and a kitchen garden keeps the restaurant stocked with salads and herbs, with small local farms providing everything else. They even have their own artesian well to fulfil the hotel’s water requirements.
Grazing sheep and cows deliver a natural landscaping solution and the swimming pond in the garden is unheated. Hardy souls can make up their own minds whether that bracing January dip is a good idea or not.
The hotel is built from natural materials (note the South Tyrol larch cladding in every room), and artworks are sourced from local artists. But its green credentials don’t end there. Rooms are also plastic-free and the use of LED bulbs and smart sensors help conserve energy. There’s no daily room cleaning service and towels and linens are only changed on request (and for a fee). In short, this one’s the full eco-package.
