Luxury dog-friendly hotels in Novigrad, Croatia
Northern Croatia’s Istrian peninsula serves up a bucolic patchwork of vine terraces, olive groves, forests and hills, fringed by pine-shaded Adriatic beaches. Mediaeval hilltop hamlets and terracotta-topped ports lace the landscape with charm as well as history. Rovinj, Umag and Poreč may be the region’s better known centres, but Novigrad, on the peninsula’s north-west coast, has just as much to offer, with a walled old town, local beaches, a clutch of good restaurants and excellent sailing.
