Our favourite rooms
Superiors and Studios make for a cosseting base should you plan on spending most of your time exploring the city. But if you’re staying a while longer, the Penthouse has our hearts for its sprawling outdoor space (with its own cold plunge and sauna) and top-floor views.
Spa
Inspired by Nordic healing rituals, the hotel's subterranean wellness centre is a sprawling space that’s set to soothe across a quartet of treatment rooms, experience showers, a sauna, ice cabin, active-salt-therapy room and hydrotherapy pool. The fitness area will be kitted out with Technogym equipment, and an adjoining salt-walled studio will host yoga sessions, mat Pilates classes and personal training.
Packing tips
A book on Fitzrovia’s history to cross-reference your surroundings with its chronicled characters.
Pet‐friendly
Small- to medium-sized dogs can stay for £50 each. They won't be allowed in the main restaurant, but are welcome in its adjoining bar, where the full restaurant menu is served. See more pet-friendly hotels in London.
Children
Welcome; a handful of connecting rooms sleep up to four guests, and staff can arrange babysitting for an additional charge, as long as you give them 48-hours' notice.
Sustainability efforts
The Newman runs entirely on renewable energy, working closely with their Earth-kind suppliers Tem Energy to ensure footprints are as minimal as possible. The restaurant’s menus prioritise British-made, seasonal produce and everything from furnishings and artwork, to tiling and lighting, was sourced from sustainable suppliers. There are rigorous recycling schemes in place, too, and staff work closely with London's charities and volunteer programmes to give back to the local communities.
