White marquee-style tents, hidden away amid the ajura trees, are roomy and comfortable, and incredibly romantic. Survey the jungle from the cane-backed chairs or pile of Moroccan rugs on your deck, or roll up your tent flap and watch wildlife from the mosquito-net- draped king-size bed (some rooms have four-posters). The attached bathrooms are solid concrete structures with a walk-in shower. Each is individually decorated, with a unique animal-themed artwork and locally made soft toy on the bed, and rooms have free bottled water, tea- and coffee-making facilities, hot-water bottles, air-conditioning and Soultree bath products. Tents are delightfully free of tech: there’s no WiFi or TV, just the gentle rustle of trees and birdsong.
