Worth getting out of bed for

In the meantime, to whet your wanderlust, here's a quick peek inside Il Sereno in Italy…

Lake Como has long been a playground for Italy’s chic and well-heeled. Newcomer Il Sereno, the Italian sibling to Le Sereno hotel in St Barths, captures the low-key glamour of the Italian elite, with designs by award-winning architect Patricia Urquiola that maximise the exceptional view with neutral stone and wood and custom locally crafted furniture in soothing water-inspired colours. Submit to the tranquility on sunloungers by the warmed infinity pool or dip into the lake from Darsena Suite, which offers direct, private access, and is built on an ancient stone dock. Paddle around to work up an appetite for lake trout, wild herbs and the cheeses, charcuterie and wines of the region at Ristorante Berton Al Lago, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner on a terrace with panoramic views of beautiful Como.
