Our favourite rooms
One-bedroom apartments, always ground floor, are vast with as much space outdoors as in; highlights include a made-for-lazing living room and raffia-roofed alfresco dining area. For families, two-bedroom villas are ideal. Groups should look no further than Bodrum Loft’s sociably arranged three- and four-bedroom villas. All rooms come with mesmerising views of the Aegean.
Poolside
A wooden deck dotted with parasols and floor-level cushioned loungers edges the adults-only infinity pool, with shrub-framed views of the Aegean beyond and is open 7am till 7pm. An oval pool for children – shallow and shaded – sits to one side.
Spa
Tucked below the hotel’s garden terrace, the spa is a plant-dotted restful retreat with an ivory-painted lobby furnished with café tables and chairs. Off the lobby is a warren of sauna, steam and treatment rooms, although you could opt for a massage in one of the outdoor cabanas nearby.
Packing tips
Espadrilles or slides for padding around the resort; cover-ups glamorous enough to allow for afternoon cocktails on the way back from the beach.
Also
On-call electric buggies make getting around Bodrum Loft easy. The gym offers personal training, private yoga and pilates classes. The hotel can arrange grocery deliveries for villa guests.
Pet‐friendly
Dogs are welcome to stay for free, but must keep to your villa and the grounds: restaurants and the beach are pooch-free zones. See more pet-friendly hotels in Bodrum Peninsula.
Children
Welcome. Cots can be added to suites; villas come with a single bedroom ideal for a nanny. Babysitting or a nanny can be booked ahead at extra cost.
Best for
All ages – babies and toddlers are well catered for, and for older children, there are ample activities to entertain.
Recommended rooms
Villas of all sizes make the most sense for families – with plenty of space and the option to cook. If you’re travelling with just one little Smith, a generously proportioned one-bedroom apartment will meet your needs.
Crèche
There’s no crèche at the hotel, but the concierge can organise a nanny (extra cost).
Activities
Days at the beach, children’s cookery classes or sport sessions (July and August), private family day trips to nearby beaches or sites of interest. The concierge can help organise age-appropriate entertainment.
Swimming pool
A modest children’s pool, shaded and shallow, sits to one side of the adults-only infinity pool; open 7am until 7pm.
Meals
Highchairs are provided and in all rooms there’s a mini fridge, and a kitchen in villas and one-bedroom apartments. Both Elia Loft and Paper Moon can adapt dishes to suit little Smiths. In-villa private dining is a good option for meals tailored to your tastes and the sugary delights of Vakko Patisserie are sure to be a hit.
Babysitting
Available through the concierge at extra cost – book ahead to avoid disappointment.
Also
If travelling with your own nanny or au pair, villas come with a ground-floor single bedroom and separate bathroom.
Sustainability efforts
The hotel uses sea water purified through reverse osmosis. Green roofs are used to harvest rainwater which is used for irrigation. Rock incorporated into the hotel’s design is coated the traditional way with a blend of hay, olive oil and egg white (that’s no yolk).
