Luxury holidays in Oklahoma City

Oklahoma City is its titular state’s cultural epicentre — serving up Southern hospitality with a dynamic creative scene born out of the region’s storied heritage and enduring pioneer spirit. Look beyond the bustle of Bricktown and the CBD’s skyscrapers, and you’ll find echoes of the state capital’s rural roots, both in its ubiquitous green spaces and an apparent fondness for outdoor adventures.

When to go

The shoulder seasons of spring (March to May) and fall (September to November) bring mild warmth and a flurry of arts events and festivals dotting the city’s calendar.

Getting there

  • Planes

Flights touch down at Oklahoma City Airport (sometimes referred to as Will Rogers). If you're inbound from overseas, you’ll need a connection from Houston, Dallas or Chicago.
  • Trains

A daily service between Oklahoma City and Fort Worth calls at Norman, Purcell, Pauls Valley and Ardmore.
  • Automobiles

Downtown OKC is walkable and serviced by streetcars, but having a set of wheels will unlock further-out neighborhoods and allow for day trips, whether that’s vineyard hopping or cruising Route 66.
