Luxury holidays in Malton

Malton is a market town on a mission. It wants to be crowned Yorkshire’s foodie capital – and the trumpets are already sounding. After watching young talent get pulled towards bigger fish, the town's residents got creative and a wave of entrepreneurialism washed through the streets, adding a coffee roastery, artisanal baker, brewery, gin distillery, patisserie, gelateria and more. Now, its cafés and restaurants are thriving, the Saturday market is a hive of activity and foodie festivals are knocking at the gates.

When to go

Malton is a year-round destination, hosting summer food festivals and Christmas markets alike. The North Yorks Moors are particularly beautiful in late August and September, when the heather flowers burst into bloom.
