When to go

For lush landscapes, longer days and vibrant festivals, it’s best to visit from late spring to summer. There are autumnal hues from September to November, while milder weather and a dusting of snow make for peaceful winter escapes from December to February.

Getting there

• Planes

  International flights land in Stockholm, from there, you can transfer to Ronneby Airport in Blekinge in around an hour. Alternatively, Copenhagen Airport is a two-and-a-half hour drive away.

• Trains

  Blenkinge is well connected by train, with rail routes from Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö.

• Automobiles

  The region has strong public-transfer networks, but if you’re looking to explore the expansive nature reserves and along the coastline, you’ll want your own set of wheels.
