Luxury holidays in Todos Santos
Todos Santos’s coastal stretches, cobblestone streets and candlelit restaurants are charming, but don’t take our word for it: it’s been named a Pueblos Mágico by the Mexican government – one of just a handful to be awarded the title. Residents include surfers, spiritualists and sea mammals – such as humpback whales, who visit from November to January – and the landscape is as diverse as the locals, right where the ocean meets the desert, and the desert meets the Sierra Laguna mountains.
When to go
January through March see warm temperatures and next-to-no rainfall (often none at all, in fact). Other times of year are quieter: May and June are good months to hit the waves, or head here in November – after spending Day of the Dead in Mexico city, perhaps – for a much-needed mezcal detox.
