West of the walled former Roman city of Tarragona, Catalonia's Priorat produces some of Spain's most sought after (and wallet-lightening) wines; it’s one of only two Spanish winemaking regions to hold a DOQ label (Rioja’s the other one). Spend your holiday rambling across Priorat’s vine-wrapped hills and knocking at cellar doors for tasting sessions of robust reds.
