But this modernist masterpiece isn’t just a pretty façade: floor-to-ceiling windows, bay-facing terraces and an airy inner courtyard create a light-flooded living space, where the focus is firmly on the alfresco. Splashes of lemon and cobalt against a cool neutral palette co-ordinate with the sunshine and sea views, with artfully arranged greenery completing the Edenic scene – we’re particularly taken with the olive tree sprouting through the inner courtyard. Outside, choose between the rooftop terrace, manicured lawn and lounger-lined saltwater pool to top up your tan, then don your biggest sunglasses and your widest-brimmed hat, and see and be seen in glamorous Puerto Portals.

  • The nearest beach, La Cala de Portals, is around 500 metres from the villa. The larger Platja de S’Oratori is a 20-minute walk or four-minute drive away.
