On the shore a short drive out of Galle, Habaraduwa House is a breezy beach house, with clean white walls, artfully arranged antiques and pretty patterned textiles. This is a property that’s great for groups: separate buildings will ensure some time out, there are several seating areas throughout the estate and the huge bedrooms are perfect for families. The beach is essentially on the edge of the garden, which also has its own pool with a sunlounger-studded terrace – not to mention manicured lawns, hammocks and shade-affording palms.
