Dougal MacArthur - Anvaya 2, 2025

Through a deceptively simple use of colour and shape, Douglas MacArthur delicately evokes the wildly restorative nature of design-led stay Anvaya, set on the leafy fringes of Delhi. The original work was presented at Mr & Mrs Smith’s debut exhibition, To Seek, To Find, at Frieze London in October 2026. 

The exhibition’s curator Brandei Estes says: ‘There's a simple, tactile quality to Dougal MacArthur’s images. Texture is present and the mood is contemplative and quiet.’  

About the artist: Paris-based photographer Douglas MacArthur counts Louis Vuitton, Ferragamo and Mulberry among his clients, and his work has been featured in publications such as Purple, Harper’s Bazaar France and Holiday Magazine. 

All sale profits will be donated to our charity partner, the Human Dignity Trust, supporting the organisation's work defending the rights of LGBTQ+ people around the world.
