I grew up in the Alps and know my native France inside-out, and thanks to a life of globetrotting, I can also help navigate the Greek Islands, pinpoint the perfect hotels in Tuscany and find beautiful beach breaks in the Balearics. I settled in London’s urban jungle 10 years ago and started working for Mr & Mrs Smith in 2007; since then I’ve visited more than a hundred Mr & Mrs Smith hotels and helped countless Smith members. My passion for travel continues to grow and I devote my spare time to my ongoing quest to find the perfect desert island and the most relaxing family-friendly stay – all for the benefit of our clients, of course.

Maison La Minervetta
I had unfettered views of the bay, with Mount Vesuvius in the distance, from my room and woke up each morning to the sound of lapping waves below my window. Francesca, who ran the kitchen, always greeted us with the most infectious 'Buon giorno!' before our breakfasts of freshly-baked breads, hams, Italian cheeses, omelettes, pancakes and frothy cappuccinos.

I will never forget the hospitality of the staff, the breathtaking views of the Atlas Mountains, or being serenaded by Andalusion musicians at a dinner fit for royalty.

Six Senses Zighy Bay
The food was uniformly excellent, with plenty of fish and kid-friendly options; I loved the Arabian buffet night at Spice Market. Each villa comes with bicycles and ours had a sunrise-facing terrace with a private plunge pool.

Travel Tips
I always travel with a Muji notebook for recording travel memories; I have a unique love for anything that comes from Japan, and its minimal design helps me to focus on writing.

Côte d'Azur
May is my favourite time to visit, since there's so much going on with the Cannes film festival and Monaco Grand Prix, but the summer crowds haven't shown up yet.

Thailand
The delicious food is a serious draw for me. I'd go for the fresh prawn-and-mushroom tom yum soup alone; it has the key Thai aromas of fragrant lemongrass, chilli, galangal, lime leaves, shallots, lime juice and fish sauce.

Santorini
On occasion I still dream about my evenings spent looking out over the caldera high up from my hotel room at Grace Santorini and enjoying local wine as the sun set.

I wish I was...
on a plane to Phuket, on my way to Trisara, which has a fabulous kids club. I’d go for a Thai massage, devour a beef salad, then fly kites on the beach with my daughter.
