Hollie Warner

Support Specialist

My travel addiction started during a trip to Africa aged 16 and continued following university, when the idea of jumping into a job without seeing the world terrified me. With this in mind, I packed a bag and left for three years to explore the far corners of the earth. By elephant tracking in Namibia, ice-skating on the frozen Lake Louise, and diving with manta-rays off the coast of Bali, I made sure to squeeze every drop of adventure out of each place I visited, and this passion led me to Mr & Mrs Smith.

    The Franklin

A modern London hotel that offers deep serenity in a bustling city; and has some of the kindest staff you’ll ever meet. The view over the private gardens from almost every room is gorgeous, and the pancakes are a must-try.

    Loire Valley Lodges

This picturesque hotel has everything you need for an upscale nature retreat. Set against the Loire Valley, every lodge has access to bicycles to discover the far-reaching beauty of this region; I’d also recommend making use of the spa.

    Loea Boutique Hotel

    Photo of room

This boutique coastal escape is hidden away along the Maroochy River, and is a charming way to familiarise yourself with the Sunshine Coast. The best part of this hotel is the magnesium pool, where you can sip on an afternoon cocktail surrounded by white-washed outdoor decor and palm trees.

I was lucky enough to live here for a year, and it has everything you could ever want. Snow and skiing down south, white-sand beaches up the coast, jungles and waterfalls up north, and red-sand deserts in the centre. If you go once, you’ll want to go again and again.

I can’t begin to describe the beauty and charm of Namibia and its local people. Home to the world’s only desert-adapted elephant herd, endless sand dunes and clear starry nights, this is actually a really safe and serene destination.

If you’re looking for raw natural beauty, unbelievable landscapes, and the swirling hues of the northern lights, then no other country compares. Iceland is my number one recommendation for anyone wanting something sensational for a short holiday away.
