Sophie Ashby
Interior design master
Sophie Ashby grew up between South Africa and the UK, and studied at Leeds University and Parsons School of Design in New York. She started her interior design company Studio Ashby in 2014, aged 25, and is the co-founder of United Design, a charity that aims to address the lack of diversity in interior design. She has previously been named ELLE Decoration’s interior designer of the year. Her retail sideline, Sister by Studio Ashby, launched in 2021. She lives in north London with her husband, the menswear designer Charlie Casely-Hayford, and their daughter Gaia.
