Born-and-raised Londoner Lauren works as a social media consultant by day and a cancer community commander by night. Following her own breast cancer diagnosis at 31, Lauren became fed up with the perception that cancer is a disease that only affects later life and decided to share her cancer-beating crusade. Her aim was to share the tales of her treatment in an authentic and accessible way in an attempt to normalise the cancer conversation and create a better understanding of the challenges facing those diagnosed with cancer in their 20s and 30s. Girl vs Cancer has now grown from an emotional outlet to an established community supporting women affected by the Big C and more.
