Hotel restaurant
The hotel’s central restaurant, Bang, is helmed by chef Justin Dingle-Garciyya who has deftly devised a menu inspired by his travels around Thailand. Sharing-style plates — vegetable and truffle dumplings, sesame-dressed eggplant, blue crab stir fries and seafood curries — put a modern twist on established classics. Mid-century modern interiors kick up the cool even more, with a rich red palette, lofty ceilings and moody lighting. If you’re looking to stock up on supplies, the Box is packed with Melbourne-made goodies and local wines.
Hotel bar
It’s all tacos, tostadas and punchy margs up at the guests-only Roof, a spirited bar with fringed parasols, laidback seating and sweeping views across FItzroy and the CBD.
Last orders
Bang serves breakfast from 7am to 10am (11am on weekends); lunch, 11am to 3pm, and dinner from 5pm to 10pm (Tuesday to Saturday). Roof is open from 4pm on Fridays, noon on Saturdays and pours until 9.30pm.
Room service
Dishes can be delivered to your door until 11pm. If you’re craving a midnight snack, light bites are available throughout the night.
