Styled with wood and leather, with plentiful plants, a seating area and a shower room, these hideaways have a flatscreen TV, Bang & Olufsen Bluetooth speaker, gourmet minibar, sustainable Davines bath products and free WiFi.

Designer Shawn Hausman has taken a palette of maroon, aubergine and blue, plus wood panelling and leather headboards to create a room that’s part Seventies lounge, part retro Tube carriage (more seductive than it sounds, we promise you…). The 16–19sq m rooms have a queen-size bed, small workspace, flatscreen TV, Bang & Olufsen Bluetooth speaker, well-stocked minibar, tea- and coffee-making kit, bespoke Craig Green-designed bathrobes and free WiFi. The black-and-pink-tiled bathroom has a shower and sustainable Davines products.

TFL (Transport For London) hasn’t been hailed as a style icon till now – designer Shawn Hausman found inspiration in its colour palettes and seat upholstery when creating these Seventies-style rooms. Purples, blues and reds, mahogany panelling and curvaceous furnishings give these 20–25sq m rooms plenty of character. There’s a window seat and workspace, queen-size bed, flatscreen TV and Bang & Olufsen Bluetooth speaker, plus a minibar, tea- and coffee-making kit, and free WiFi. The retro-fabulous bathroom is tiled in maroon and pink, and has a walk-in shower, custom Craig Green bathrobes and sustainable Davines products.

For these rooms, designer Shawn Hausman picked a palette of aubergine, scarlet and blue, partly inspired by London Underground’s snazzy seat covers. The 33–37sq m rooms have bay seating, two red wardrobes and a king-size bed in the centre of the room, covered with an Edinburgh-wool throw. There’s a flatscreen TV, Bang & Olufsen Bluetooth speaker, minibar with gourmet treats, tea- and coffee-making kit, and free WiFi. The bathroom will make you look, too, with its black-and-pink tiles, bath tub with a wooden rest for drinks and such, walk-in shower and custom robes by hip Brit designer Craig Green, plus sustainable Davines products.

With carpets inspired by the Tube’s seat covers, and decor that harks back to the hotel’s 1970s tenure as Camden Town Hall, these 25–33sq m rooms are bold and fun in shades of blue, red and purple. There’s a sitting/dining area, workspace and a king-size bed dressed in fancy linens and an Edinburgh-wool blanket. A minibar is filled with gourmet snacks and drinkables, there’s a flatscreen TV, Bang & Olufsen Bluetooth speaker, free WiFi, and tea- and coffee-making kit. These spacious 33–37sq m rooms come with cosy bay windows that watch out over the city's skyline. Inside, you'll have a king-size bed, sitting area and a bathroom with a walk-in shower and separate bath tub. These 36sq m light-filled rooms comfortably sleep four in two double beds, and come with a cosy sitting area, as well as a bathroom with a walk-in shower or bath tub. There's also an ADA-approved room, with an accessible shower with a seat, grab rails and emergency pull cords.

These 36sq m rooms are fully ADA compliant, with a wheelchair-accessible bathroom with a large open-plan shower and handy adaptations. Less vibrantly hued than other rooms, but no less stylish, it’s adopted an understated, Cali-chic, mid-century-modern mix of Scandi-style woods, white walls and linens, leather and check. London gets a dose of California cool in this quirkily hip eighth-floor, 68sq m suite. Interiors have an aesthetically pleasing mish-mash of textures and hues: sage-green leather, trompe l'oeil ‘wood’ panelling, cream shag-pile, grey-veined marble and ox-blood tiles. The 62–64sq m terrace has a table for alfresco dining, sunloungers and seating.
