Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be made by 3pm 72 hours prior to the date of arrival to ensure no charge is taken. A 1 night charge will apply if cancelled after this stage. For stays over the festive period (24th to 26th December 2024), you can cancel for free up to 29 October 2024, cancellations made between 30 October and 26 November 2024, will be charged for 50% of the stay; cancellations made after 26 November 2024 will be charged in full. For stays over the New Year’s period (30 December 2024 to 1 January 2025) you can cancel for free up to 5 November 2024, cancellations made between 6 November and 3 December 2024 will be charged for 50% of the stay; cancellations made after 3 December will be charged in full.

Set away from the manor beyond the kitchen garden, this quirky pair of metal cabins are luxuriously kitted out but with enough gypsy charm to offer a romantic ‘glamping’ experience. Forming an L-shape around a little wood-decked patio with steamer chairs, the little huts are furnished with vintage pieces: in one, there’s a log-burner, double bed, Victorian-style roll-top bath, hand-held shower fixture, marble sink and cosy bathrobes; in the other, a sofa, small flatscreen TV, retro Roberts digital radio, larder (aka minibar) of local produce, Nespresso coffee machine and tea-making kit. Note that the two huts are not directly connected, so you will have to physically leave one to get into the other; this means (fun, brief) al fresco forays to the living area.

The Bothy

The Lookout

One of two standalone dovecotes – charmingly romantic thatched follies just for couples – the two-floor Lookout, set beside the kitchen garden wall, has luscious views across the grounds to the coastline beyond. On the lower floor, the bedroom has a king-size four-poster bed and log-burner; upstairs, reached via a spiral staircase, the bathroom features a walk-in monsoon shower and a freestanding roll-top bath set beside the window, as well as a heated towel rail, marble sink, cosy bathrobes, Bramley bath products, and pretty patchwork floor tiles. Guests staying here get some special extras too, including use of the hotel's beach hut on Middle Beach (a 20-minute stroll away) from 10am on the day of arrival to 10pm the night before check-out. Plus you'll have beach towels, a picnic blanket and four deck chairs and free tea and coffee.
