At the hotel
Landscaped grounds with lush tropical vegetation, charged laundry or private chef service on request. In rooms: welcome basket with water, ginger beer, snacks and chocolate, free WiFi, air-conditioning, smart TV, sound-system, Keurig coffee-maker with Starbucks pods, Stash teas, microwave, bathrobes, beach towels, and Neem Avenue bath products.
Our favourite rooms
Guest quarters at the Hideout White Bay are uniformly charming, with rustic-luxe touches everywhere, from the earthy wood interiors to the soft linens and wow-factor pendant lighting. Each swoon-worthy villa has its own plunge pool on the deck, the only major difference being the choice of a larger kitchen and extra bedroom. The garden-view rooms certainly make the most of the island’s natural tropical assets, but if we have to pick a favourite space, it’s the two-bedroom beachfront villa with an unobstructed view of the white sand and waves – yes, it’s just as heavenly as it sounds.
Poolside
Each guest villa has its own private plunge pool and access to the public white-sand beach.
Spa
There’s no spa on site, but treatments can be booked in your villa or on the beach through a mobile spa service.
Packing tips
Panama hat and picture-perfect pout.
Also
Because of the nature of the terrain and the stair access to the elevated villas, the hotel is not suited to wheelchair-users.
Children
There’s no crèche or kids’ club, but little Smiths are welcome to join you at the Hideout. You can request cots or extra air mattresses as required.
Sustainability efforts
All of the products on site, including cleaning products and the locally made toiletries by Neem Avenue, are eco-friendly and non-toxic.
