Room 10 has bold blue accents, room 11 has a saucy Toile de Jouy headboard, Room 12 has scarlet velvet furniture (and once starred on the cover of a Mr & Mrs Smith hotel guidebook), Room 18 has a French bed covered in yellow velvet, Room 19 is tucked away in the eaves and has a vivid tapestry, Room 22 has a super king-size bed and a sofa bed, and Room 30 has a double bed and a single bed in two separate sleeping areas (each with its own TV), Fifties furniture and nautical oil paintings.

Junior Suite

These luxurious, individually designed suites are decorated with modern furnishings and contemporary fabrics, and have either a king-size or four-poster double bed. Each ensuite bathroom has a unique layout. The luxuriously decorated Suite 1 is a honeymoon hideaway with style. This suite is more secluded than the others and has its own entrance off the courtyard. With two in mind, this suite has a super king-size bed, and a double-ended roll top bath tub and double shower in the ensuite bathroom. Decorated in warm mauve tones with bursts of bright yellow, Suite 8 has a walk-in shower in the ensuite bathroom and a roll-top bath tub set inside the old fireplace. Up in the eaves of the hotel, Suite 14 is a cosy attic room with a an ensuite bathroom that has both a walk-in shower and a roll-top bath tub just steps from the bed; the bath has a handy a book and Champagne holder, and views of the Rye and fields beyond. Once part of a hayloft, Suites 31 and 32 are now a beautifully renovated gabled suites with their own entrances, original beams and modern light-wood furnishing. Both have an ensuite bathroom with both a copper roll-top bath tub and a walk-in shower. Suite 31 is great for families with both a super king-size bed and a bunk bed for two kids. Away from the main hotel, Suite 41 is set in a separate two-storey building with a private patio. Upstairs there is a spacious bedroom with a large skylight and stylish modern furnishings like the 2.5 metre wide circular bed: downstairs, the bathroom has a tin roll-top bath tub and a walk-in shower. An extra bed for children (£20 a night) can be added to some Junior Suites on request; ask when booking.
