More details
Rates at The Anam Cam Ranh include a buffet breakfast of international and Vietnamese options, served at the Indochine Restaurant.
Also
The Anam Cam Ranh is not significantly adapted, but there is one Deluxe Room that has been modified for wheelchair access and paths across the resort are wheelchair friendly.
At the hotel
Fitness centre, floodlit tennis court, 18-hole mini golf course, yoga studio, outdoor and 60-seater 3D cinemas, scheduled shuttles into Nha Trang and to/from the airport, and free WiFi throughout. In rooms: air-conditioning, ceiling fan, TV, coffee- and tea-making kit, minibar, fresh fruit, free bottled water, traditional conical hats, beach slippers and bag, bathrobes, slippers and custom bath products.
Our favourite rooms
Larger groups should make a beeline for the two- and three-bedroom hilltop villas. A private pool is an option across several residences and worth splashing out on for its garden privacy, too. Terrace Rooms are our pick of non-pool-toting options, with a corner spot and oodles of space. All rooms at The Anam Cam Ranh are dressed appealingly in sunny seaside hues and flooded with light that beams back at you from polished wood furnishings and prettily tiled floors.
Poolside
The hotel has a trio of freshwater bathing options: a central pool, reserved for adults only, is your go-to for clocking up laps, and flaunts an infinity edge to show off its manicured-lawn and sea views (open from 6am until 8pm). Shade lovers may prefer the foliage-fringed lagoon pool (10am until 6pm). If you can’t decide between saline and fresh dips, the beach pool’s location is primed for both (6am until 8pm) — and its set-up, beside the Beach Club, ensures that sips and bites are only steps from your lounger.
Spa
Set in a cocooning space in the resort’s leafy grounds, the Anam Spa takes a holistic approach to wellness, marrying a consummate menu of therapies with meditative quiet. A sauna, steam room and 10 suites for solo or couple’s treatments are tucked into this sweetly scented, neutral-hued complex. You could opt for one of its many full-body treatments, which include hot stone remedies, wraps and massages; or target specific areas with cranio-sacral sessions or reflexology. (Hopefully you won’t need the ‘After Sun Soother’.)
Packing tips
Swimwear, beachy cover-ups and flip-flops should dominate; a stack of reading material and flamboyance of eyewear for your hand luggage are the secret to relishing relaxation-on-sea.
Also
Sunrise and sunset yoga sessions on the lawn are included with your stay. Or you can up the calorie burn at the fitness centre, which is kitted out with bench presses and free weights, plus resistance and cardio machines.
Children
All ages are welcome; under-12s are charged as children, and babysitting is available on request.
Best for
Babies and up are welcome, but over-fours will have access to the Kids’ Club and are better disposed to enjoy Cam Ranh’s resort frills.
Recommended rooms
Deluxe and Premium rooms and some villas come in twin configurations. Many room types take an extra bed for one junior. Two- and three-bedroom hilltop villas work for larger clans. Baby cots can be added for free to all but the One-Bedroom Pool Villa.
Crèche
Little Smiths aged four to 12 can enjoy supervised play, games and art sessions at the resort’s Kids’ Club; under-fours will need an accompanying adult.
Activities
Fly-and-flop rules apply, with The Anam Cam Ranh’s beachfront setting and pool-toting grounds dominating family downtime. Meet the animals at the resort’s kitchen-garden farm. And settle in for a family movie at the indoor or outdoor cinemas. Older children will love the mini-golf course, too.
Swimming pool
The beach and lagoon pools are family-friendly with lifeguard supervision and variable pool depth; only the central pool is reserved for adults. Lifeguards also patrol the beach.
Meals
You'll find children's menus at the resort's dining spots, highchairs (subject to availability) and kitchen staff happy to heat baby food on request.
Babysitting
Childcare with trained professionals can be arranged at extra cost, with notice and subject to availability, through the concierge team (price on application).
No need to pack
Life vests are available to borrow, ensuring a safer swim for little Smiths.
Sustainability efforts
The Anam favours solar power, and water from the laundry is recycled for use in the gardens. The hotel is free from single-use plastics, opting instead for rice-flour straws, FSC-certified wooden key cards and biodegradable bamboo bags. In addition, staff help with scheduled community beach clean-ups.
