Our favourite rooms
All rooms and villas are made for indoor-outdoor living, with either a private plunge or lap pool and terrace, and contemporary interiors with nods to nauticalia and flashes of ocean blue. Of the pool suites, we like the Panorama Ocean View Pool Suite, which is set away from the heart of the resort but comes with brooding ocean views from its clifftop perch. Villas come in one-, two- or four-bedroom configurations with generous terraces: pick your size, then decide your preferred location – up on the bluff, beside the beach, or closer to the centre of the resort, with bay views.
Poolside
In addition to the indoor and outdoor pools at the Spa, the resort will have two outdoor chlorinated pools, open 7am until 7pm.
Spa
Designed in the style of a traditional fishing village, Six Senses Spa at La Sagesse is quite a catch… We can’t wait to see what lies beyond the reception lounge and boutique, but promised highlights suggest you can expect relaxation lounges indoors and out, and a choice of swimming pools, as well as six treatment rooms – single, double, and outdoors – available for Six Senses signature therapies plus Caribbean-inspired options. A communal wet area, with a notably panoramic perch overlooking the bay, will be kitted out with a sauna, hot and cold plunges and a Kneipp hydrotherapy pool. If it’s ‘green’ beauty, a mani, pedi or facial you’re after, you’ll want the Spa’s Longevity Center. A 180-square-metre fitness space will feature a studio for spin classes, yoga and Peloton, as well as gym equipment, with 24-hour access via a separate entrance.
Packing tips
Upgrade your flip-flops (thongs) to something a little sturdier for navigating around the resort and enjoying strolls across the headland. And outdoorsy threads for watersports, hiking and (alfresco) yoga, will help you to make the most of all that Six Senses La Sagesse has to offer.

Grow With Six Senses is the resort’s wellness program for younger guests, engaging with their social, environmental, physical, spiritual, emotional, and intellectual development to help children reconnect with nature and those around them. Left-field activities on offer include mocktail mixology, whipping up lotions and potions (toothpaste, body scrub, and edible water bubbles), treasure hunts, ball games, gardening sessions and more.
Swimming pool
Two of the resort’s three pools are family friendly, although there’s no lifeguard; all are open from 7am until 7pm.

Sustainability efforts
Six Senses works with a local bird sanctuary to introduce and safeguard nesting sites and protect the surviving mangroves. A proportion of hotel profits is directed back into a sustainability fund (used exclusively to invest in conservation or Earth-kind infrastructure). Day to day, food waste is composted, the hotel has a recycling policy, water is filtered and distributed in refillable glass bottles, and there are energy- and water-saving measures in place across the hotel, including the installation of solar panels. And hotel suppliers are local wherever possible.

Dress Code
Casual daytime attire is fine for Callaloo; for Panquai after sunset, you want something more glamorous, and the sense of occasion at SeaFire each evening is what you should save your smartest threads for.
Hotel restaurant
Six Senses La Sagesse’s trio of eateries has yet to open, at the time of writing, but we’ve gleaned a few appetisers of what’s to come… All-day dining spot Callaloo is a honey-timbered, light-filled space of tables indoors and out, where proceedings will kick off with a breakfast buffet and hot dishes cooked to order. For lunch and dinner, expect farm-to-table cuisine, featuring an assortment of comfort-food classics, informed by the seasons and zhuzhed up with island-grown spices. SeaFire will be the resort’s signature restaurant, where communal platters will be served at the centre of the table for guests to share and enjoy. Panquai is the resort’s poolside dining spot: by evening it will transform into a cocktail bar where skewers of meat will be cooked over fire, Churrasco-style. The resort will also have a coffee and ice-cream bar, Scoop Café, with no prizes for guessing its areas of expertise. Private and in-villa dining will also be available.
Hotel bar
For tropical concoctions and all things rum, poolside Panquai is set to transform into a cocktail bar each evening.
Last orders
Callaloo is open for breakfast, 7am–11am; for lunch, it’s noon until 5.30pm. SeaFire and Panquai open for lunch, from noon until 4.30pm. Dinner at all three eateries is served from 6.30pm until 11pm.

Atlantic-facing Six Senses La Sagesse is on a promontory in Grenada’s southeast, overlooking Sagesse Bay, a mangrove-swathed estuary.
Planes
Maurice Bishop International is the island’s hub, where international arrivals touch down directly from the US, Canada, UK and Germany, and a private jet facility has been recently refurbished. The airport’s a 35-minute drive from the hotel.
Automobiles
You’re unlikely to need your own wheels for this island fly-and-flop idyll where taxis can easily be sourced, but if you are hiring a car, there’s a free carpark at the hotel.
Worth getting out of bed for
There’s a beatific balance to the delights on offer in the southerly Windward island of Grenada. On the one hand – beaches, including a creamy-white crescent of soft sand at the resort’s titular cove, La Sagesse, and a wild swathe of shoreline, backed by cliffs, at neighbouring Lance Pere. On the other hand – there’s adventure in plentiful guises. The resort’s Experience Center can guide you through your options, which begin with La Sagesse’s Watersports Center (borrow kayaks to paddle the mangroves, or hone your balance on a standup paddleboard), and extend to shipwreck dives and rainforest hikes in the Grand Etang National Park. Off-the-beaten-path treks among the island’s Seven Sisters waterfalls will take you to freshwater bathing spots (this trip comes with optional sound healing and a cacao ceremony). The hotel can arrange rum tastings and a tour at the River Antoine Estate distillery; visits to unearth Grenada’s cocoa production with Rastafarian growers and beekeepers; or islet-hopping the turquoise waters of the Grenadines with a day’s yacht charter. You’ll want to explore the island capital, St George’s, a picturesque town set around a horseshoe-shaped harbour. And be sure to leave time for signature therapies, manicures and pedis, and relaxing downtime at the resort spa.

With three restaurants in resort, you’re unlikely to feel the need to roam for dinner, but when a change of scene is called for, here’s a trio of not-far-away dining spots. Nearest of the three is Laura’s, a modest beachfront bar at Grenada Marine in Corinth, serving light bites (wraps, salads, sandwiches) and heartier mains (curries, steak, seafood platters, and ribs). At Le Phare Bleu in Egmont, Island Fever Tropical Tavern is set scenically and works Caribbean-spiced magic on fish, chicken, and comforting favourites such as burgers, Buddha bowls and tacos. Reserve your smartest threads (and book ahead) for a special occasion, care of dinner at Rhodes at Calabash, where the tables are linen-draped, the mood is romantic, and polished plates such as lobster risotto, pan-seared grouper and king-crab linguine bring together Italian flair and seasonal Grenadian ingredients.
