Garden View Chalet

Designed with families, and friends travelling together in mind, the stylishly minimalist interiors of these rooms allow guests to completely relax and unwind, free from distractions. The bedrooms lead out onto a small balcony with views over Santani’s paddy terraces; there’s no divide between the interior and outdoors. Each room has a king-size bed, upcycled rubberwood lounge chairs and an ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower. These rooms also have a free minibar, tea-and coffee-making facilities, a safe, two wardrobes and free WiFi is available on request.

Mountain View Chalet

Perched on the side of the valley, overlooking the jungle and mountains beyond, these elevated ambalamas (‘pilgrims’ lodges’ in Sinhalese) are self-contained spaces for rest and reflection. The interiors are stylishly minimalist with industrial-style, unadorned floors and walls, a king-size bed and upcycled rubberwood lounge chairs. The bedroom leads directly onto an ensuite bathroom; there’s also a small balcony (there’s no dividing wall) furnished with recycled teakwood safari chairs. Each room has a free minibar, tea-and coffee-making facilities, a safe and two wardrobes. Although the hotel encourages guests to unplug for their stay, free WiFi is available on request.
