These 250sq ft rooms are a lesson in perfectly matching, mismatched fabrics, courtesy of interiors whizz Kelly Wearstler. The original windows showcase the city, but soundproofing ensures you won’t hear it. The beds (which are covered in fine Italian linens and topped with a handmade Californian Aireloom mattresses) are either queen- or king-size (the clue’s in the name), and there’s an ensuite bathroom with tiles that look like exposed bricks and brass fixtures. Other facilities include a Bluetooth speaker, tablet with the Proper hotel App, flatscreen TV with Google Chromecast and free WiFi.

Overlooking the city, these 260sq ft rooms feature artfully mismatched wallcoverings, a separate living area, and mid-century European-style furniture and lamps.
