Deposit Policy

Rosewood Matakauri requires a deposit of a one-night stay, which will be charged to you directly by the hotel. The remaining balance is due on check-out. For stays in all rooms, except for Matakauri Four Bedroom Villas and Lake Two Bedroom Villas between 6 January to 14 December 2025 and 6 January and 14 December 2026, a deposit of one night is due at the time of booking. For stays in Matakauri Four Bedroom Villas and Lake Two Bedroom Villas between 7 January to 14 December 2025, a deposit of one night is due 90 days before arrival. For stays over the festive season (15 December 2025 to 5 January 2026, the full amount is due at the time of booking.

Cancellation Policy

For stays in Matakauri Four Bedroom Villas and Lake Two Bedroom Villas between 7 January to 14 December 2025, cancellations at any time will be charged for 25% of the stay. For stays in all rooms, except for Matakauri Four Bedroom Villas and Lake Two Bedroom Villas from 1 October to 14 December 2025 and 6 January to 30 April 2026, cancellations made up to 90 days before arrival will be charged a $250 cancellation fee; those made between 90 and 61 days before arrival will be charged for 50% of the stay or you can postpone for up to six months; those made later will be charged in full. For stays in Matakauri Four Bedroom Villas and Lake Two Bedroom Villas between 1 October and 14 December 2025 and 6 January to 30 April 2026, cancellations made up to 120 days before arrival will be charged for 25% of the stay; those made between 120 and 91 days before arrival will be charged for 50% of the stay and those made later will be charged in full. For stays over the festive season (15 December 2025 to 5 January 2026), cancellations at any time will be charged in full.
