Set around the two guest area courtyards, each 32-square metre Superior King room comes with a king-size bed, 19th-century Chinese furniture and Asian art. Four of the 12 rooms have full ensuites with a bath and shower, the other eight have ensuite showers only. A selection of these rooms also have twin bed options, which are on request.

Set in a two-storey building at the pool end of the hotel, all four popular 40 square-metre Deluxe Rooms come with a silk canopy-draped king-size bed, ensuite shower, 19th-century Chinese furniture and Asian art. Think spacious and romantic.

These two 100-square metre Suites include two double ensuite bedrooms on either side of a large living room and a kitchenette, so are ideal for families or friends travelling together. Suite 26, located on the second floor above the Library, is fronted by a spacious private balcony which runs the entire length of the suite, overlooking the lawn and gardens. Each bedroom comes with a canopied king-size or double four-poster. The larger bedroom has an ensuite bath and shower; the second bedroom is much smaller and only has an ensuite shower. Suite 24, on the ground-floor near reception, is secreted behind a walled courtyard garden with private access to the hotel pool and garden views. Both beds are king-size, with an ensuite bath and shower for each bedroom, and the suite can be converted into two rooms (a Deluxe and a Superior) if required.
