Designed by Philippe Starck, these rooms are white and bright and appear twice the size of their 20–23sqm floor space thanks to a dazzling mirrored headboard, feature wall and wardrobe. Witty design elements – bed-side lamps with a Venetian mask motif, a log-shaped side table and terrazzo-style floor – make this a super stylish stay a 10-minute walk from St Mark’s Square. There’s a king-size bed, a travertine-tiled bathroom with a shower or bath tub and rooms include a flatscreen TV, iPod dock, radio, minibar, bathrobes, air-conditioning and free WiFi.

These dazzling 30–35sqm rooms have bright white walls bedecked with drapes and enormous mirrors. Each of these 33sq m Philippe Starck-designed suites has a comfortable seating area and elegant white interiors punctuated with his signature quirky design details, including Venetian mask lamps. Set on the piano nobile (second floor) with a private balcony, this suite (68sq m) has iconic views of the Grand Canal and ancient Venetian palazzo. Philippe Starck has worked his madcap magic on the interiors – the open-plan bedroom and living room feature mask motifs, tree-stump stools and tables with inlaid maps of the city, alongside high ceilings and huge mirrors. The travertine and corian bathroom suite has a walk-in shower and twin sinks. Suites have programmable lighting, an in-mirror LCD TV, iPod dock (with bathroom speaker system), minibar (with decent-sized bottles, snacks and seduction kits) and free WiFi, and for an extra charge, a child can sleep on the sofa bed.

This 45sq m Philippe Starck-styled suite has sleek white furnishings and quirky design details. The lift opens directly onto the living room, and the suite has two private furnished balconies with sweeping city views. There’s a king-size bed in the bedroom, and the travertine-tiled bathroom has a hammam shower with chromotherapy. The suite also has a flatscreen TV, minibar, bathrobes and free WiFi.

Philippe Starck’s design for this cosy 30sq m suite is both elegant and eccentric, with white walls and furnishings and lamps wearing Venetian masks. Underneath the vaulted wooden roof there’s a double bed, a living area – with a large sofa that faces views of the Grand Canal – and a bathroom with shower. Fun fact, Johnny Depp lived in this suite for three months. This 100sqm suite is certainly stylish enough for a movie star, decorated in shades of cream and taupe, with plenty of mirrors and designer Philippe Starck’s signature quirky detailing. There are two bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and one with a queen-size bed, two living rooms – one with an enormous sofa – and two bathrooms with a bath tub or shower. This suite overlooks the Grand Canal and includes two TVs, iPod cable, a coffee machine, radio, minibar, bathrobes, air-conditioning and free WiFi.
