Our favourite rooms
Each room has the signature Nobu neutral palette, with the blue Aegean backdrop providing a splash of colour. The sensible choice for coping with the soaring Santorini heat is a room with its own plunge pool on the terrace, so be sure to book one of those.
Poolside
The dual-level pool is the main hub of the Nobu village and one of the biggest on Santorini, and there are plunge pools in some of the suites. The star attraction is open for swims from 6am until 8pm.
Spa
There’s no spa, but in-room treatments are available on request.
Packing tips
Kaftans and cover-ups for long days spent lounging around the pool, and hiking boots to at least attempt to walk a stretch of the Oia to Imerovigli cliff path once.
For a front-row ticket to the caldera and one of Santorini’s famous sunsets, nab one of the sunloungers looking out to Skaros Rock.

Hotel restaurant
As with most Nobu Hotels across the globe, the restaurant is the biggest draw and if you find yourself in need of some black cod miso, yellowtail jalapeño and sublime sushi while in the Cyclades, you’ve come to the right place. It’s open daily for lunch and dinner.
Hotel bar
Helpfully located close to the pool, the bar is there to hydrate you during a frequently spectacular Santorini sunset. If you don’t want to move (the chances are high), order the sunset menu and stay put on your sunlounger. There’s a DJ from 5pm until late on Thursday to Sunday nights.
Last orders
Breakfast hours are 8am to noon; lunch is available between 12.30pm and 5pm; and dinner is from 6pm until midnight (but 10pm is the last reservation). The bar serves drinks from 11am until midnight.

Pleasingly for Nobu stans, the restaurant menu is available as room service 24/7.
A short stroll from the centre of Imerovigli, Nobu Hotel Santorini is on the curving caldera coast that stretches south from Oia in the north, and close to the spiritual headland of Skaros Rock.
Planes
The island’s airport is a 20-minute drive away; hotel transfers can be arranged on request (from €90). Many airlines run seasonal flights to Santorini, or the more intrepid (and time-rich) can land at Athens and set sail for the Cyclades from the port of Piraeus.
Automobiles
Nobu Hotel Santorini is easily accessible by car and there's free parking at the hotel – but if you’re not planning to leave that pool area, you won’t need wheels.
Other
Ferries link up all of Greece’s many scattered islands, with regular services running between other Cyclades, including Paros and Mykonos, as well as between Santorini and Athens.
Worth getting out of bed for
The pool area at the heart of Nobu Hotel Santorini may be the envy of all the hikers of the path from Oia to Imerovigli passing by, but you should definitely try to join them at least once – the caldera-hugging route has some of the best views on the island. Test the water with a stroll up into Imerovigli or to the local church. Continue your gastronomic getaway with a trip to a nearby vineyard to try some of the island’s acclaimed assyrtiko, or set sail on a boat cruise to see the island’s stacked sugarcubes from the water.
Local restaurants
Head up into Imerovigli for an authentic, bougainvillea-draped, Greek-taverna experience at Anogi, or Metaxi Mas in Ekso Gonia, a 20-minute drive south. Imerovigli is also home to the simply but accurately named Aegean Restaurant, which has a breezy terrace from which to admire its idolised sea (and its daily catch). In Oia, more overhanging bougainvillea awaits at Candouni, a candle-lit, family-run restaurant offering refuge just off the main drag.
Local bars
In Thira, Tango Bar has everything needed for a spectacular Santorini sunset: the terrace, the champagne list and the cocktails. And if you like your sundowners served with a classical soundtrack, don’t miss Franco’s, where the views aren’t the only thing worth shouting about.

Nobu Hotel Santorini is a set of sugarcube structures on the trail between Oia and Imerovigli. Unsurprisingly, the hikers traipsing past are prone to bouts of envy – but they’re welcome to stop off for some nikkei nourishment, too. Days are spent around the pool, which is one of the biggest in Santorini and has a bar attached catering to all cocktail and black cod miso needs. A row of sunloungers has been helpfully positioned for guests to watch the sun go down over the caldera, before dinners of more black cod miso (this is a Nobu), yellowtail jalapeño and spinach salads. A DJ rocks up at 5pm Thursday to Sunday, ready to provide the beats for sunsets over the caldera and, yes, more Nobu meals on tap.
