Deluxe two-bedroom pavilion Walter is named after US architect Walter Burley Griffin, who designed Australia's capital city Canberra. Launched in November 2009, it's one of Mona's bold new pavilions, with a ground-level double bedroom and bathroom with spa bath and double shower, topped off with an upper-floor double bedroom facing the Derwent River with its own spa bath and double shower. Video art by major global names and Australian art is teamed with bespoke furniture by Tasmanian designer-makers and international designs. Architecture is cutting-edge too, blending a glass and steel cube with local timber. Sleeps a maximum of four in king-size beds.
