Our favourite rooms
In the Hill Country King rooms, you need only throw on a robe and pop out onto your private balcony for rolling views across the nature preserve.
Poolside
There are two heated outdoor infinity pools, the Discovery Pool and the Serenity Pool, each with top-of-the-world views of Lake Travis and the nature preserve. Both pools are open from 6am to 10pm.
Spa
Amethyst, citrine and the scent of jasmine set the tone at the Life in Balance Spa, a nexus of holistic spoiling. Drawing inspiration from the surrounding nature preserve, treatments make soothing use of organic botanicals (most stresses will melt after a massage with amber and cardamon oil) and whole-plant facials bring on a Gaia-like glow. But to fully commit to the cosseting, opt for a bespoke top-to-toe ritual. Therapies rooted in Ayurveda, traditional eastern practices and reiki are available too, as are couples’ options, manis and pedis. Hopefully you’ve a few more contented sighs in you yet, because there’s also a sauna, steam room, hot tub and outdoor serenity pool with sweeping Hill Country views. Please note, spa treatments should be booked at least four weeks in advance.
At the gym, the emphasis falls on mindfulness and approachability. Fitness classes range from Pilates to line dancing and low-impact options like cardio drumming. Personal training is available, too.
Packing tips
Throw in a pair of Hokas with your Pilates gear, so you’re all set to hit the oak-shaded hiking trails.
