Perched high above the jungle canopy, the Treehouse Chalets are secluded yet situated only a short walk up from the beach. These rustic-luxe rooms are surrounded by nature, and the noise of the jungle predominates: the soft rustle of windblown leaves; the chirping of crickets and birds; and the foraging of wild creatures at night. Treetop Chalets feature a bed, TV, minibar, bathroom with sun-lit shower and a deck with a day-bed and hanging chair.
Sea Cliff Chalet
Set high on the edge of the hillside, with the turquoise lagoon right below, the Seacliff Chalets offer mesmerizing scenes of the South China Sea. Each chalet is unique and offers an unobstructed view, even from the semi-outdoor shower room. The most striking feature is the alfresco day-bed on the balcony, which juts out from the cliff and over the sea.
Jungle Luxe Sarang
The Jungle Luxe Sarangs are tucked away in the lower forests of the resort. They feature an open-air bath tub with the rainforest as its backdrop, hidden enough to allow total privacy. A spacious living area beckons for dining, sunning or simply relaxing.
The split-level Hillside Sarangs feature an additional TV on the ground level, which serves as a family area. Tall glass windows open on to views of the jungle terrain. These 'love nests' also come with a private plunge pool, indoor and outdoor showers, timber deck and sunloungers.
Luxe Tree Top Sarang
Each of these secluded 55sq m stays has a private deck and a plunge pool and is a short stroll from the beach. Inside, each has a king-size bed and an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in rainfall shower. There’s also free WiFi, air-conditioning, a flatscreen TV, minibar stocked with wines and champagne, Newby teas and an espresso machine.
There is only one Seaview Sarang at Japamala. Secluded and romantic, this villa has a distinctive ambience that relaxes yet inspires. Resting on the lower terrain, the Seaview Sarang has a kichenette, a small dining room and a semi-outdoor lounge with a dip pool and a timber sun deck overlooking the sea.
Sitting right on the beach, the Penghulu's House is the resort's only two-storey, two-bedroom villa. This modern village-house has the jungle at its doorstep and the seashore as its backyard. While age-old boulders fashion the interior, the rustic-style rooms are furnished with the modern comforts of an urban home. The Atas Residence (main bedroom) features a vast living space, which opens out to a spectacular view of the sea. Guests staying in the ground-floor Bawah Residence have direct access to the private swimming pool, just steps away from the foot of the two single beds.
