Our favourite rooms
The Parador Suites and Figueroa Suite are particular favourites of the Smiths, thanks to their terraces and balconies. Ask for a higher floor if you're a sucker for a city view.
The coffin-shaped pool is original. No one's sure why the architects opted for the unusual form, back in 1926, but it's impressively spacious for the centre of Downtown (and flanked by loungers from which to sip your cocktails, obviously).
Bring shoes you can walk in: the neighbourhood's surprisingly walkable, for Los Angeles.
Public areas are all wheelchair accessible, and there are several adapted room categories.
Dogs are very welcome, as long as they’re under 50lbs, for $50 a night. (Only two pups per room, please.) See more pet-friendly hotels in Los Angeles.
Accepted, but not particularly catered to. This one's more of a grown-up hideout. Leave the little Smiths at home, and start working your way through the Gintonico menu…
