Lodge Room

The Lodge Room is 440sq feet and features Hapuku Lodge’s custom-made over-size king bed, which can be converted into two single beds. Hi-tech extras include LCD TV, DVD/CD player, iPod and a Bose sound system. The bathroom has a two-person Japanese soaking tub, walk-in rain showers, and heated towel rails and floors. There's a fully stocked fridge, as well as an outdoor terrace and beautiful views of the Kaikoura Mountain Range.

Upper Branch Tree House

The five Upper Branch Tree Houses have one luxurious bedroom and are ideal for couples or honeymooners. Perched on the top level of the standalone row of Tree Houses, 10 metres off the ground in a mature manuka grove, they are private and have great views of mountains, sea and the deer farm, with generous windows on both sides. Each one has a custom-made king-size bed, a seating area with a wood-burning fire, plus a couples' spa bath and a rain shower that opens directly onto a private treetop deck. Heated towel rails and underfloor heating add to the pampering.

Hapuku Room

The Hapuku Room overlooks the Lodge’s swimming pool, deer paddock, Kaikoura’s spectacular mountains and the Pacific Ocean. It has a large open floor-plan with windows on three sides as well as a balcony terrace. The suite includes a seating area, private dining table, and fireplace. The bathroom features a walk-in rain-fountain shower and stand-alone bathtub.

Olive House Suite

A fully furnished standalone apartment, just a short walk from the main lodge, sleeps a maximum of five people (usually two adults and up to three children). The Olive House is the Lodge's most spacious accommodation; an elevated open-plan apartment with great views of mountains, the sea and the Lodge's deer herd. The conference room and massage room sit below on the ground floor. A separate bedroom with king-size bed and couples' spa bath is ideal for parents; kids can sleep on separate beds in the main room. There's a fully equipped kitchen and dining area for self-contained dining, which also makes this apartment popular with honeymooners seeking privacy. A child's cot can also be made available. The open-plan environment can suit those traveling with babies or young children. Twin balconies and a Danish wood-burning fireplace add more home comforts.

The two Family Tree House units consist of an Upper and Lower Branch room hired together, connected by an internal staircase (see above for descriptions of both).
