Tucked between the aspen trees on the edge of the meadow, these 60sq m tents have views of Mount Wilson, which stands over 4,300 meters tall. There’s a covered deck with loungers at the entrance, angled for admiring the views and watching birds flit between feeders in the trees. Inside, there’s a king-size bed with bedlinen that nods to the patterns used by the Pueblo and Navajo, a gas stove, writing desk and lounge furniture. The ensuite bathroom – which has solid-steel walls and a slate-tiled floor for extra warmth – has a bath tub with an over-bath shower and twin marble sinks. Each tent also has a Dyson fan (with hot and cold settings), two mountain bikes and Aesop bath products. Tents at the River Camp are about a 10-minute drive from the main Hot Springs property. Not to worry, though — River Camp has its own dining options and, most importantly, a bar.
