Also
All of the communal areas are accessible for wheelchair-users and some rooms at the hotel have been adapted for guests with limited mobility (Senses Retreat Sea View with Zen Pool and Senses Family Bungalow Sea View with Zen Pool).
Hotel closed
The hotel opens annually for the extended Greek summer season, from 19 April until the very end of October.
At the hotel
Free WiFi throughout, gym, library, shuttle to Oia four times a day and kids’ club. In rooms: TV, minibar, Nespresso coffee machine, tea-making kit, Marshall speaker and bath products by the Naxos Apothecary.
Our favourite rooms
Every room at Domes Novos Santorini has its own pool, but most things in life can be improved with an Aegean view — so try to snag a sea-facing suite.
Poolside
There are two outdoor freshwater pools at the hotel, open from 10am to 6pm, one of which is child-friendly (though leave the inflatable unicorn at home).
Spa
At the Soma Spa, pan pipes lead you to a state of serenity before you’ve even changed into your robe. There’s a third pool here, with lantern-like spotlights, a hot tub and a sauna. Have your sunglasses ready for when you emerge after your Elemis treatment into Helios’ bright white rays.
Packing tips
Athleisurewear to join the sunrise yoga or a Pilates class at the gym; a copy of Nikos Kazantzakis’ Zorba the Greek to make you love the country even more; and a skill set in need of a refresh — be ready to sign up to one of the hotel’s artistic-talent-enhancing lessons.
Pet‐friendly
Pets weighing less than eight kilogrammes are welcome to stay (up to one animal a room), but there are some rules to familiarise yourself with first, so be sure to check. A daily fee of €20 will be charged, alongside a deep-cleaning cost of €100. See more pet-friendly hotels in Santorini.
Children
All ages are welcome. The kids’ club (for four to 12-year-olds) is free, and babysitting can be arranged with a day’s notice (€15 an hour for one child, €25 an hour for two, plus a €30 supplement after 11.30pm).
Sustainability efforts
Recycled materials are used and minimising waste is a constant concern, with bottles and boxes returned to suppliers where possible. Air-conditioning cuts out when windows and terrace doors are opened, there are solar energy and heat pumps in use, and the gardens have an automated irrigation system.
