These opulent 70sq m, one-bedroom lodges overlook the estate’s flower-filled gardens. Like all rooms at Delaire Graff Estate, they’re kitted out in a soothing palette of white and cream with a double bed (or twins on request) and a TV that pops out of a vintage trunk. You might find yourself a little distracted, though, by the view that lies beyond the bed: bi-folding doors open onto a private terrace and a heated plunge pool. Spacious marble ensuite bathrooms have Aromatherapy Associates products, twin sinks, a bath and a shower. There’s also a separate lounge and a ‘butler’s kitchen’ stocked with a minibar and wine, and free champagne and canapés arrive each evening ahead of dinner.
Luxury Vineyard Lodge
These 70sq m lodges are defined by their views of the estate’s vine-stitched scenery and soaring Stellenbosch mountains. Designed by French architect Pierre Bories with interiors by David Collins Studio, each features South African artworks from the hotel’s private collection. There’s one bedroom, equipped with a double bed (or twins on request) and a TV that pops out from a travelling trunk, plus a ‘butler’s kitchen’ stocked with wine, snacks and a minibar. There’s also a private lounge, where free champagne and canapés arrive each evening ahead of dinner. Bi-folding doors let light flood in and lead out to a private terrace and plunge pool. Spacious marble ensuite bathrooms have Aromatherapy Associates products, twin sinks, a bath and a shower.
Each of these 76sq m rooms – immaculately decorated with bespoke materials and original art – sleep up to two in a king-size bed. Outside, there’s a private garden and terrace, where you’ll find a private plunge pool, and views are of the vineyards and valleys beyond. There’s a separate dressing area, and the marble ensuite bathroom has a freestanding bath tub and is stocked with Aromatherapy Associates products. In all rooms, you’ll find a TV, DVD player, iPod dock, WiFi, air-conditioning, a minibar, free bottled water, kettle, tea, coffee and a Nespresso machine.
Presidential Lodge 1

The two ensuite bathrooms have Aromatherapy Associates products, twin sinks, a bath and a shower as well as dressing areas, and there’s also a separate guest WC. In the butler’s kitchen you’ll find a minibar, wines and snacks, and free champagne and canapés arrive each evening ahead of dinner. The terrace is equally expansive, including a full-size heated pool, sunloungers and views of the Stellenbosch Valley and the estate’s manicured lawns.
Presidential Lodge 2
Please be seated for the best view in the house: it stretches over the estate’s vineyards and the soaring Simonsberg peak. This 130sq m lodge has two king-size bedrooms, either side of the main lounge. Bespoke furniture, original artwork and soothing, neutral shades abound, and floor-to-ceiling doors lead on to a private terrace with a large dining table for alfresco meals, plus a full-sized plunge pool and sunloungers. Adjoining each bedroom, there’s a private ensuite bathroom with Aromatherapy Associates products, twin sinks, a bath and a shower, plus an extra guest WC. The Owner's Villa
This 660sq m villa is the crowning jewel of the Delaire Graff Estate. Built for owner Laurence Graff, it houses artwork from his personal collection and has bespoke interiors by David Collins Studio. The heart of the property is the living and dining room, which has six-and-a-half-metre-high ceilings and a wall of windows overlooking the Stellenbosch Valley. Off to the side, the Assirelli-designed kitchen has top-of-the-range Gaggenau appliances and can be staffed by a private chef. There are four 48sq m bedrooms, each with a super-king-size bed (one is set up as twins), a private terrace, and an ensuite bathroom with a freestanding bath tub and walk-in rainfall shower. The living room opens onto a large terrace with a 14-metre infinity pool, Jacuzzi and alfresco lounge area, all with sweeping estate views. Other key features include a gym, wine store and lift. The villa has accommodation for two staff, and the sound system, fireplaces, curtains and air-conditioning can be controlled at the touch of a button. Stays in the villa are fully inclusive – breakfast, lunch and dinner will be prepared by a private chef, to be enjoyed in the villa's indoor and outdoor dining areas. Menus can be tailored to your tastes and are designed to showcase the very best of South African cuisine. Villa guests may invite friends and family to join them for meals (but an extra charge applies for any outside guests).
