These 60sq m rooms have oversized windows and an abundance of natural light, with views of either Cathedral Square, Stirling Gardens or the city. These spacious, 75sq m rooms overlook Cathedral Square, Stirling Gardens or the city. A number of rooms offer views of the Swan River; each one has a generous sitting area that can accommodate either an additional bed or a cot. These east-facing, 55sq m rooms are located in the Lands and Titles wing and feature French doors leading to either a walk-out balcony or a Juliet balcony overlooking Cathedral Square. There are 10 Heritage Balcony Rooms; two have fireplaces (numbers 5 and 6). These 70sq m corner rooms each feature five sets of French doors opening onto north and east-facing balconies. Spread yourselves out and pretend you’re a cashed-up treasurer in the Studio Suites, which sprawl across 80sq m. The only problem with staying in the Treasury Suites is leaving the Treasury Suites. These two 80sq m suites, located in the Treasury Wing, each have a large (very, very large) light­filled bedroom, plus a separate sitting room and views of Council House and Stirling Gardens. Features vary between the two – there’s a fireplace in one and a truss ceiling in the other, for example – but both have a custom-made king-size bed dressed in Egyptian cotton, a TV, iPod dock, desk and minibar; caffeine-fiends can request an Illy espresso machine. You know you’re doing life right if you wake up in the Como Suite, which overlooks St Georges Terrace and Stirling Gardens. This vast space – 120 sq m, to be precise – includes a living area (with views of Swan River) that’s separate from the bedroom, making it ideal for entertaining.
