Cliveden

The newly refurbished Inchiquin Suite is on the top floor of the east wing, with views of the grand drive, Fountain of Love and the gardens. Classic and sumptuous, the suite is decorated with luxurious European fabrics and antique furniture with a colour scheme of soft cream and coral. There is a spacious bedroom with a king-size bed, and a second king-size bed in the large living room can sleep two children or two adults ((free for children aged two and under, £75 a night for three to 16 year-olds). The ensuite bathroom has a combined shower and bath and twin sinks; there's also a separate dressing room, large plasma TV and WiFi.

This 19th-century, mock-Tudor guesthouse, which comfortably sleeps six, is nestled riverside among Cliveden’s National Trust woodland. Upstairs, a grand double bedroom overlooking the Thames shares a luxurious bathroom with a smaller children’s bedroom. This room has a single bed, a pull-out mattress and plenty of floor space for a cot. The second spacious double is on the ground floor and has an ensuite bathroom with a large freestanding tub. Opposite is a cosy snug, as well as a very large lounge with an open fireplace. There's also a country kitchen with an Aga and a large wooden table that seats six. When the weather's fine, guests can sit on the outdoor porch, or in the secluded, Secret Garden-like riverbank grounds. Spring Cottage is essentially a self-catering property, but guests can take advantage of all the hotel facilities of the main house. A butler can be provided at an additional charge.

These 40-45sq m rooms are in the Garden Wing and have views over the lush spa garden. Rooms are decorated in either a modern or Victorian style, and each has a king-size bed, cosy lounge space (some with a fireplace) and an ensuite bathroom with a bath tub and walk-in shower.

These 32-35sq m rooms are in the Garden Wing and finished in classic Cliveden style, with antique furnishings and period details. Each has a private terrace with a hot tub; inside, there’s a king-size bed (or twins, on request), a cosy sitting area and an ensuite bathroom with a shower over the bath tub.

This lavishly furnished 75sq m suite, has Regency-style furnishings, scarlet feature walls, traditional artwork and an ornate fireplace. The suite is located in the main mansion, overlooking the parterre gardens from the bedroom and separate living room. There’s a dressing area, a king-size bed and an dramatic ensuite festooned with dark-red frescoes. The suite has a TV, DVD/CD player, roll-top baths, under-floor heating. A double sofabed can sleep two children or one adult (free for children aged two and under, £75 a night for three to 16 year-olds).

The unique and luxurious 75sqm Lady Astor Suite has high ceilings and scenic views of the grounds. Formerly Lady Astor’s own bedroom, the suite has changed little since her residence and is decorated with original works of art and antiques. There is a large private terrace with a table and seating for six people, benches and sun loungers, and a spacious lounge area. The room has a king-size bed, with space to accommodate two extra beds (free for children aged two and under, £75 a night for three to 16 year-olds). The ensuite bathroom is similarly opulent, with a bath tub and shower, as well as a separate make-up area. There is a large plasma TV and WiFi. The suite is available for a wedding ceremony of up to 60 people.
