Located on the second floor, the 40sq m Junior Suite has windows on two sides, overlooking both the park and the courtyard. Beneath 15th-century timber beams, the decor is fresh and contemporary. There’s a double bed and space for a free cot or two extra beds (€20 a night for under-12s). Upstairs, the mezzanine bathroom has a Jacuzzi bath tub and a separate shower.

Chambre de la Terrasse

Sunny and 19th century in style, Terrasse (25sq m) has a double or twin beds, and an ensuite bathroom with bath tub. Historic family-owned paintings hang on the walls. Mystères – on the second floor – is reached via a climb up an original 15th-century staircase (there are 52 steps, so it’s not best suited for guests with mobility issues).
