Big and bright, Apartment 4 (49sqm) has a marble-chip floor with sections of cement inlay, a lavish double bed-cum-art installation, and vintage knick knacks. The living area is furnished with elegant contemporary pieces – some with with statement gold accents – and there’s an open-plan kitchen and dining area with a cement table by Martin Bachmann. The kitchen has everything you need, including a digital stove, kettle, coffee machine, cutlery, tableware, cookbooks, biscotti and pasta; the mini fridge is filled with milk, butter, eggs, yoghurts and bottled water. In the sleeping area, there’s a raised double bed and an ensuite bathroom with a large tub and views of the city square. The apartment also has an Olivetti typewriter and air-conditioning. Overlooking the square, Apartment 5 (48sqm) has an open plan living and dining area, and a bedroom crowned by a reproduction of a Roman fresco – the original can be seen in the ‘room of Livia’ at the Palazzo Massimo.
