Deposit Policy

For all stays, credit card details are required at the time of booking. For stays during high season (9 to 14 August 2024, 1 to 6 October 2024, 26 January to 1 February 2025 and 1 to 6 October 2025), full prepayment is 14 days before arrival. For stays during peak season (1 November to 8 December 2024, 21 to 31 December 2024,1 to 3 January 2025, 20 March to 10 April 2025, 20 November 2025 to 10 December 2025 and 29 to 31 December 2025), full prepayment is 30 days before arrival. For stays in Takagamine Suite, Takagamine Pavilion and Washigamine Pavilion, full prepayment is due 30 days before arrival. At all other times, full prepayment is due seven days before arrival.

Cancellation Policy

For stays in high season (9 to 14 August 2024, 1 to 6 October 2024, 26 January to 1 February 2025 and 1 to 6 October 2025), cancellations made 14 days before arrival will not be charged; those made later will be charged in full. No-shows and early departures will be charged in full. For stays in peak season (1 November to 8 December 2024, 21 to 31 December 2024,1 to 3 January 2025, 20 March to 10 April 2025, 20 November 2025 to 10 December 2025 and 29 to 31 December 2025) cancellations made 30 days before arrival will not be charged; those made later will be charged in full. No-shows and early departures will be charged in full. For stays throughout the rest of the year cancellations seven days before arrival will not be charged; those made later will be charged in full. For stays in Takagamine Suite, Takagamine Pavilion and Washigamine Pavilion, cancellations made within 60 days of arrival will be charged 50 per cent of the total stay; cancellations made within 30 days of arrival will be charged in full (plus tax).

Washigamine Pavilion

It has a living room, traditional tatami room, dining room, kitchen and wine cellar; there are also two bedrooms – each has a king-size bed (or twins, on request) and an ensuite bathroom with a hinoki wooden soaking tub and twin sinks. The most secluded of the pavilions, it has a hiking path that leads through the surrounding forest to a private meditation garden.
