Each room is named after a singer, actor or artist. All have a flatscreen TV, minibar and air-conditioning. Find grand gilded flourishes in Trinidad Guevara (named after a Uruguayan actress), alongside bright red fabrics, wood floors and views of the Museum of Decorative Arts. There’s a balcony and a cherry-hued bathroom with a glass-walled shower. The Don Juan Manuel room (named after a local painter) is sky-blue, with wood floors and antique furnishings. The ensuite has a walk-in shower. The Horacia Quiroga room pays homage to the writer with jungle-green hues (after his Tales of the Jungle) a desk and a vintage typewriter. Aviator Cesareo Berisso gets sky-toned walls, vintage navigation knick-knacks and goggles. Sculptor José Belloni’s room mixes taupes and creams with ornate antiques and prints of his work.
