Getting there

• Planes

  Canyonlands Field has an airstrip for private charters. The nearest runway for domestic flights is Grand Junction, two hours’ drive away; for international arrivals, Salt Lake City (four hours) or Denver (six hours away) are your closest options.

• Automobiles

  You’ll need a car to reach this remote park, made up of distinct districts with separate access points (because of the rivers which divide them). Please note that for some sectors, you’ll need to buy a day-use permit.
