Luxury holidays in Kwandwe Game Reserve

On the Eastern Cape, north of Makhanda, Kwande Game Reserve's riverine plains are a tranquil haven for wildlife, including the Big Five. Most nature lovers are here for the safari, featuring big game sightings but also an abundance of birdlife and smaller creatures, encountered on guided drives or walks at dawn, dusk – or even after dark. Even a supper under the stars, out in the bush, offers memorable moments in nature.

When to go

Game viewing is stellar all year round, with temperatures at their hottest from November to March during South Africa’s summer, which is also when Kwandwe gets most of its rainfall. Spring or autumn months are our tip for sweet-spot temperatures.
