Luxury holidays in Julian Alps

You could mountain bike down steep trails, scale Alpine escarpments or, in winter, try ski jumping, say — but high-octane thrills aren’t the only way to enjoy this pastoral pocket of Slovenia. The Julian Alps encircle meditative beauties, Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj, and the region’s slower pace of life lends itself to arcadian wanders, a nature-inspired spa culture and pasture-to-table dining. This is a halcyon outdoor playground, whatever your speed.
