Getting there

• Planes

  Fly into Athens or Thessaloniki, then take a 45-minute connecting flight to Skyros.

• Automobiles

  From Athens, you could drive three hours to Kymi port and take a car ferry to Skyros, which takes just under two hours, or hire some wheels once island-side. The isle has taxis and public buses, but a car comes in handy for beach-hopping.
